NEWS IN FRENCH

Aside English, the next commonest language spoken by two thirds of the world is French. Ghana is being surrounded by francophone countries and we ought to take French language very seriously. If possible it should be made compulsory in all schools from creche to university.

French is an interesting language, though some how difficult to learn it would be easy when it is started at the basic level.

GTV has started reporting news in French. That is very good of them. It would make the francophone peoples feel more welcomed in the country. They would also know more of what is happening. It would also throw more lights on journalists to take their French education very seriously because they can get vacancy through that.

It is my wish that all the media would broadcast news in French alongside the English. GTV should not stop but continue. Bravo GTV.
